GSXR1100 Turbo

Twin intercoolers on the RB Racing GSXR1100 Turbo solved an intricate packaging problem. Under boost at 200mph the motor got a dense cool blast of air. These bikes were sudden violent weapons more akin to a fighter plane than a motorcycle. The IHI RHB6 turbo would produce 80% of its air flow at 1.5 Bar (8psi) and by 12 psi you were way over 200hp. 350 hp was possible with lean mixtures and low BSFC's, but we generally ran them around 18 psi and 280 rear wheel horsepower, always with water injection. Thank Suzuki for a strong engine...we never broke one of them.
